Donors in
US or Europe can just write a cheque, fill in and attach a special deposit
slip, and just mail the letter to a special Mail Box (called the Cheque Box)
in US or Germany. That's it. We get the money within a week. The
Cheque Box
facilitates fast, safe, economical and
efficient transfer of funds to any HDFC Bank customer in India.
Our HDFC
Bank has its nostro account in US Banks, which gets the money quickly
through the existing central cheque collection system in US & Europe, and it
transfers the money immediately to us to India. All you do is fill in a deposit slip
specifically designed for the Cheque Box, which is available online. You
need to download a new Deposit Slip every time you post the
cheque to the cheque box. Attach the cheque payable in US or Europe with the
deposit slip and post the letter to the following local mail box.
