Courses at Ashram :

At Vedanta Ashram we have short & long term courses for teaching Vedanta to aspiring students.

1. Long Term Course:

The long term course is a three years course, were we teach Gita, Upanishads, Sanskrit, and other important texts of Vedanta. This course is a completely free and is basically for those full time, select students who dedicate their lives to propagate the knowledge of Vedanta all over. One course has been successfully completed and preparations are on for the next course. Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji was the acharya-in-charge of this long tern course, and it was in Hindi language, our preferred language.

All the expenses of food, clothing, books, medical backup etc. of the students of such a long-term course are borne by our registered charitable public trust called 'Vedanta Parmarthic Sewa Trust', which has been formed for this specific purpose by Poojya Guruji. The trust is also registered with the Income Tax department, and Indian donors can get IT Exemption u/s 80-G for their donations to the Trust. The Trust runs on donations from philanthropic people for this noble cause for providing this great knowledge to proper adhikaris.

Guests at Ashram :

As mentioned above Vedanta Ashram is a gurukula for the study of Advaita Vedanta (Upanishads, Gita etc). We teach & study the original sanskrit scriptures alongwith their ancient commentaries by Sri Adi Sankaracharya, whose statue presides in the Satsang Hall. People dedicated for Vedantic studies alone are welcome, and not the ones who wish to learn about yoga, rituals, tantra etc.

Smoking, non-veg food, intoxicants are strictly prohibited in the ashram. Only the simple, sattwic, veg food offered in the ashram, at fixed times alone has to be taken. Inmates are expected to attend the Temple Aarti and classes regularly. This being a gurukula so the living standard is overall simple and facilities limited, and all work is done by inmates, so visitors too should be ready to do some sewa of cleaning etc.

Vedanta Ashram has limited guest rooms, and we have our regular programs and visitors, so generally the rooms are occupied. Guests are requested to come with prior permission only, so they can have an assured & comfortable stay. Guests are expected to follow the ashram rules & participate in all programs. Inmates & visitors who stay at the Ashram have to inform the Ashram authorities about their visits outside too, and need to return back to Ashram before 10 PM, when the gate closes. Visitors are expected to provide us copies of their identity and address proof's. Appropriate donations are expected.
